Economic Operators Registration and Identification number (EORI) – is a unique number within the European Community assigned to economic operators and other persons by the customs authorities of a Member State.
Businesses and people wishing to trade must use the EORI number as an identification number in all customs procedures when exchanging information with Customs administrations, that is, by completing customs formalities (in formalizing customs procedures for import, export, transit, when applying for permits under the customs rules, etc.).
Attention is drawn to the fact that the EORI number assigned in one Member State is valid in other Member States, so no additional registration and EORI number is required.
